Itinerary
We have so much gratitude for all the support we’ve received from our communities. We know not everybody can make it to Tahoe, so thank you for sending your love & support in all the different and unique ways we’ve already received.
We’re thrilled that those of you who can make it to Tahoe have chosen to come to our wedding weekend to celebrate us in one of our favorite places. Thank you for making the trek.
Being with you the day of our wedding is so special, so please don’t feel compelled to hang out with us the rest of your weekend! That said, beyond the wedding and reception, we have a few things planned for the weekend for those of you who might be interested. Feel free to partake in all of it, some of it, or none of it!
For those of you interested in solo adventures, you might check out Shannon & Lenny’s Tahoe To-Do’s for inspiration. We hope each of you finds a little slice of Tahoe that feels special to you.
Meditation and/or prayers at Emerald Bay Lookout
Let’s meet up at Emerald Bay State Park to marvel at its beauty and to have a moment of meditation and/or prayer in community. Bring whatever suits your needs in this regard - a yoga mat, some buddhist prayer beads, a rosary, a furry dog friend, or just your big heart and good intentions. If you’re not headed out of town just yet, we can do the nearby hike to a waterfall. (We’ll start the hike about 10:45ish. Good for all skill levels. About 40 minutes).
Rojo's Tavern Karaoke (if we are still standing…)
We just know that we’ve invited some people who have a Spice Girls/Journey/Elton John/Whitney Houston/B-52s/Adele/Alanis Morissette song inside of them just aching to be unleashed on the world. This is your moment. (Or you know, come and hang out and be present for someone else’s moment…).
Sunset Charter
If you’re interested in cruising around the lake on a private boat with wedding folks, let us know! It’ll be $45 per person, and the sooner we have a good idea of how many intend to cruise, the better! You can grab a bite to eat beforehand, or we can all share some charcuterie, wine, and dessert.
Picnic Brunch/Lunch
Headed out of town and want to say a final farewell? Or hungry for some lunch at a dog-friendly beach? Let’s meet up at Thomas F. Regan Memorial Beach. BYOPicnic (you might want to peek at Shannon & Lenny’s List for brunch/lunch suggestions around Tahoe).
Sand Harbor Kayaking
Remember to check out Shannon & Lenny’s Tahoe To-Do’s for solo adventure suggestions, but you’re also welcome to join us for kayaking around Sand Harbor (where Shannon proposed to Lenny!). Make your reservations directly through Sand Harbor Rentals (they also have Stand Up Paddle Boarding and other fun water rentals). We’ll arrive at 8am for ease of parking and to share some treats before exploring the harbor for 2 - 3 hours. (The earlier you reserve your kayak, the better). All levels welcome. (And if you don’t want to kayak, but you want to show up to the beach and enjoy some people watching, that’s great, too!). Parking costs $15.
The Wedding Reception
Bring your dancing shoes, people. We’ll celebrate our nuptials with food, drink, lawn games, dancing, and pie. Request your favorite songs (or pies) below. We’ll see what we can do!
The Wedding Ceremony
We’ll be married at a quiet little lake called Fallen Leaf Lake on Friday morning. BYO camping chair, picnic blanket, or be ready to find a tree stump.
For now, this will be “Family Only,” but we’ll extend invitations as we get the “go ahead” from the National Forestry Service. Either way, we’ll for sure see everybody at The Wedding Reception (where the real party happens anyway!).
Welcome to Tahoe & Our Wedding Weekend!
Come say hello to the soon-to-be-newlyweds and meet friends and family of the couple. Feel free to grab a drink or some food at the Beer Garden or try your hand at cornhole. There might be s’mores involved.
